Leave in conditioners are always hit and miss for me. While one product can leave my hair feeling smooth as silk, another can make it feel dry and crusty! I’m happy to report that the Coconut Shea Leave In Conditioner from Eden Body Works does the former. After performing my bi-weekly wash I put a dime sized amount into my freshly washed an wet hair. I then followed up with my jojoba/rosemary oil mix.
After twos days my hair was still soft and felt thoroughly moisturized. I decided to try my luck and do a two strand twist out with just this leave in versus my usual Shea Moisture mix. Some naturals can get away with this but it has always illuded me. Alas this product didn’t have the hold I needed but that’s more to do with my texture than anything else.
This product smells great (a good miz of coconut and shea butter fragrance) and has lots and lots of slip. Plus a little product goes a long way. I’ve had mine for almost 9 months now and there’s still about a 1/4 left. For $9 for an 8oz bottle that’s a bargain!
