ABOUT THE CURLING CUSTARD
The OSSAT Naturals Curling Custard “defines, creates, moisturizes and strengthens” the hair while having no sulfates, parabens, phosphates, synthetic fragrance and phthalates. Per product description, the Curling Custard is best for wet setting with rods and ideal for twists, locks, knots, and braids. Also, this product contains protein for continuous strength.
HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT
Apply throughout dry or damp hair, and then twist out, coil, roll or freestyle.
REVIEW
This was my first time using any type of curling custard, so I was extremely excited to try it. The Curling Custard definitely had the qualities of an actual edible custard. It had that jiggly, eggish type of texture.
I really liked the fragrance of this product; it is light and smells floral. This product is VERY lightweight and wet, so if you are looking for a thicker curling cream this may not be for you but for finer textured hair this would be perfect. This product instantly makes dry hair damp and damp hair wet when applied – it’s very moisturizing.
I used the Ossat Naturals Curling Custard to two-strand twist my hair. I love that this product is packaged in a jar so that I can easily grab the product and apply it to my hair for styling. Once on the hair, it does a great job of defining your natural curl patterns and works even better in bringing out that curl if you finger detangle or rake the product while the product is in the hair.
This curling custard gave my twists a nice hold and left my twist out moisturized and plump when completely dry. I always leave my twists in for multiple days, perhaps no longer than a week before I take them out. With this product, even after THE take down, my hair was still defined, soft and moisturized.
This is a great curling product to use when you want well defined a twist or braid out that will last until your next style or wash day.
