Miss Jessie’s: Unscented Curly Pudding

It’s hard to find products on the market that are unscented. Many people are sensitive strong scents and don’t require their products to smell like a rose garden. Miss Jessie’s Unscented Curly Pudding wins points for that alone.

This product is perfect for those of you with super thick hair (both density and hair strand width). It provides hold, even without the addition of gel, but adding some extra gel of your choosing won’t hurt. It does leave a residue if you’re heavy handed and use too much. Then the flaking can be pretty nasty. It’s also best to apply this product to wet or damp hair and let the style set and dry before touching your hair. The results leave your hair shiny.

As always Miss Jessie’s products are not cheap. The cost for an 8oz jar is $22.00 but as mentioned earlier, less is most definitely more. Also be mindful of the ingredients – mineral and petroleum are listed – but if you know your hair well enough you can monitor how it reacts and maybe use closer to your wash day.

We would suggest buying the smaller sample size (2oz) for $7.00 and test it first before making the investment.
