Hair Craft Studio by Ray in New York City was founded by Ray Guh a curly hair stylist. After attending Carsten Aveda Institute, Ray joined the famed John Sahag workshop learning and perfecting the dry cutting technique for nearly 4 years. He then joined Christo 5th Ave Salon for 3 years to further broaden his technical skills, specifically on curly hair.
As a Master Stylist, Ray brings a compassionate and understanding approach to his work. He takes time to examine and listen to provide the cuts, coloring, and styling to compliment his client’s desires and features.
Ray’s passion for creativity matches his talent when it comes to his make-up artistry. He has designed looks for numerous socialites and celebrities and has worked on looks for New York Fashion Week, video sets, glamorous red carpet events and bridal occasions.
Ray wants to create a quiet and soothing environment for his clients, to enjoy the services without having the feeling of being hustled and bustled. Ray also believes his clients deserve his 100 percent attention and time while getting serviced and that is why he created Hair Craft Studio, to focus on his clients one at a time.
