Easy-To-Make Gifts for your Curlfriends

natural hair care gifts

This holiday season you can be environmentally friendly and thrifty when choosing gifts for your curl friends. Make natural hair care gifts by using empty containers and natural ingredients to make holiday themed hair products.

First things first, decorate your containers! I use recycled spray and hair product bottles. I recommend using cans used for edge controls, a deep treatment masques and liquid leave-in conditioners. Be sure to wash the containers throughly.

Once dry decorate the containers using specialty paint for plastic. I prefer spray paint made specifically for plastic. Stuff the inside of the containers with newspaper before painting. You can also apply tape to the container to achieve a specific design (try festive red and green stripes). Once the paint is dry embellish the container by adding gems and ribbons.
