Great Handmade Products

Let me start by saying I’m a slight product junkie and love trying new products. I received the Blue Roze Beauty Pumpkin Seed Hair Whip and Lemon Meringue Elixir in the Blue Roze Beauty Enchanted Beauty Box.  I received this box as a prize from a contest I entered on Instagram!

REVIEW

When I first received these items I immediately opened them and took a sniff. I’m picky with how products smell. If it doesn’t smell good I’m very hesitant to try it.  The pumpkin seed hair whip smells sweet like a pumpkin pie and has a thick and creamy consistency. The lemon meringue elixir is a light weight oil with a lemony smell but not strong.

Each product is handmade and is free from parabens, mineral oil, paraffins and is cruelty free. The Pumpkin seed hair whip contains amazing stuff like aloe vera juice, shea butter, jojoba oil, and cocoa butter. The lemon meringue elixir contains almond oil, grapeseed oil, and passion fruit seed oil.

I started with freshly washed hair and smoothed on the pumpkin seed hair whip.  Since it contained a mix of cocoa butter and shea butter I was a little worried that it might be too heavy on my hair and leave it feeling greasy.  I was thankful that wasn’t the case.  It coated my hair very well without weighing my hair down. I followed with a few drops of the lemon meringue elixir to seal in the moisture and add a little shine. My hair absorbed the products nicely. I twisted my hair for a protective style to give my hair a break for a few days.  Three days later and my hair still felt moisturized.

PRICE

The Pumpkin Seed Hair whip comes in an 8oz jar and is priced at $19.99. This price is a little high for me but I will say that a little goes a long way, which is good for someone like me that likes to use a generous amount of product on my hair. The Lemon Meringue Elixir I received was a travel size priced at $5.99.

OVERALL

This combo worked great for my hair. Days later my hair still felt moisturized and there was no need to apply any additional products.  Although I liked the pumpkin seed hair whip the price is a bit much for me but I would recommend giving it a try. I have low porosity hair so the lemon meringue elixir is the perfect oil for my hair and it will definitely become a part of my daily regimen.
