So this product has been a staple of mine since my transition from relaxed to natural hair about a year ago. Let me share with you how it’s proved itself to me time and time again. I like to travel whenever I get the chance so that usually throws me off of my normal hair regimen schedule. We all know that not staying on top of your hair tends to lead to dryness, frizz and curls and coils that just can’t get it together. Well, regular use of the Aphogee Curlific Texture Treatment, which for me is about every other week, helps to maintain my coils and more importantly repair them.
I first heard about this greatness in a tub from Mo Knows Hair’s YouTube channel and her use of it to help improve her hair’s elasticity. Elasticity refers to how easily your hair can stretch and handle tension, especially when transitioning from wet to dry. Healthier hair with high elasticity has strands that are smoother from roots to ends and can stretch when wet and can go back to its original state without breaking.
Elasticity is important for us curly girls especially with all the styling we do and just for the overall health of our hair. So treatments like the Aphogee Curlific Texture Treatment aid in the strengthening hair and of course keeping it looking amazing.
I continue to go back to this particular treatment for a number of reasons.
1. Compared to other elasticity treatments the price is pretty good.
2. I can usually find it at my local beauty supply store or on Amazon for around $7.49.
3. Although the scent reminds me of cologne, it’s grown on me because I love the product so much and it’s not a scent that stays on your hair for long, especially after using other styling products.
4. This treatment has a super thick consistency and leaves my curls soft and with a noticeable shine.
With my hair being on the denser side, and maybe me being a little heavy handed with products, I don’t get as much use out of the 8 ounce container as I would like but that just leads me to keep a back up on hand.
Overall I would definitely recommend this product to a friend and will definitely continue to repurchase it for myself. With the improvements I continue to see on my own hair over time I can say that this product does what it claims to do.
