The most common reason for hair loss is wearing your hair in tight ponytails, braids and weaves. We all swear by protective styles because let’s be real they’re easy to maintain and we think we’re giving our hair a break, but doing this too often and constant pulling of the hair can cause severe damage to your scalp. Here are 5 ways to naturally prevent hair loss:

1

Change Your Diet

You might be thinking “what the heck does my diet have to do with my hair” but your diet affects your hair growth or loss a great deal. Juicing and eating raw vegetables is the best way to see results in your hair. You are allowing your body to get all the nutrients it needs to function properly which slows down the rate in which you are losing hair.

2

You should massage your scalp daily with your fingertips and hands kneading the skin on your scalp. This helps circulate blood flow to the hair follicles and naturally conditions the scalp while strengthening the roots. Massaging your scalp helps decrease stress and promotes relaxation which allows your hair follicles to grow hair. You can also massage your scalp with an essential oil such as coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, and lavender oil. Onions have a lot of beneficial properties to it, and applying this treatment over an extended period of time will start to fill in bald spots on your scalp with stronger healthier hair strands. Keep in mind treating severe hair loss starts from within your body so changing your diet, drinking more water and juicing also help make this method work.

    >Cut down on eating meat

On the contrary I’ve heard of lots of women who have seen the health of their hair greatly improve by switching to a carnivore diet. So I don’t think it’s good to say that meat is the problem.
