Memorable Scent & Perfect for Kids

As a Licensed Stylist I’ve only been used to using professional product lines, so when I was sent MopTop’s products to try as a Curly Ambassador I thought this was a unique opportunity try something new. I liked the idea of potentially recommending new products to clients and family and to try on my own 7 year old daughter.

First I tried the MopTop HairCare Co-wash Cleansing Conditioner with the Citrus Kumquat scent. It was great to use on both myself and my daughter’s hair. The scent was very memorable and refreshing.

As a stylist, when clients come in they usually want you to use the same products you used the previous time they came because the first thing they remembered was the smell of the product you used. So having such a distinct and refreshing scented product was already a step in the right direction.

I have locs and my daughter has a kinky textured hair. For shampooing, I applied the Co-wash Cleansing Conditioner to my locs by first wetting my entire head of hair, then creating 4 sections to apply from the root to the ends of each section.

The amount per section I used on my locs was about the size of a Reese Cup working it from the roots to the ends. I did the same thing on my daughter’s hair. Now, more may be need depending on the length of the hair. That amount was sufficient for our hair. Because the consistency is thicker than other shampoos it adheres to the hands which makes it easier to apply to the scalp and hair. This especially makes it a great product for kids who are “movers” when getting their hair shampooed.

After rinsing, the Co-wash Cleansing Conditioner out of our hair, both our hair types felt clean without the clingy film other “moisturizing” shampoos leave on the hair. By the way the rinsing out process was a “piece of cake”. I started rinsing the product from the root/scalp of the head then proceeded to the middle/shaft of the hair and finally to the ends.

On a scale of 1-10 I give the MopTop HairCare Co-wash Cleansing Conditioner 10 for its Consistency, Ingredients, Cleansing Quality, Conditioning and Rinsing abilities and a 7 for it’s scent. If it was available in larger sizes and the Lavender Mint, I would consider purchasing it in place of what I’m currently using.
