A few days ago my friend asked me how do I achieve my curls. I said, “I’m natural!” – I have no perm or “creamy crack” in my hair therefore my natural texture is showing. She had no clue that curls could grow out of an African-American’s head unless they had some type of other race in their lineage. I told her defining our curls and coils is all in the products we use. A big part of my natural hair regimen is Tresemme Naturals Shampoo review.

Many products you may use are for straight hair so of course you will never get to see the full potential of your natural texture. Using moisturizing and curl defining items help accentuate your curl pattern. First off, you need a great shampoo that can cleanse all of the build up on your hair from previous products you’ve used. Think of it as a shower for your hair, and for it to be able to do whatever you want with it, whether it’s wearing curls, braids or having it straight you’ve gotta start on fresh hair.

So here’s a product review of Tresemme Naturals Shampoo. It’ great for all hair types, but I did hear some negative things about results on 4b-c hair types. If it helps I have 3c-4a hair. I’ve been using it for a while now and here are my thoughts!

Approximate Price:
Around $5

Experience:
I’ve been using this product for a year straight and I’ve had no problems. It feels good on my scalp and doesn’t weigh down my curls. In the middle of my transition my hair started to feel dry, itchy and life-less. Half of the products I bought did no justice to my hair what so ever. That brought up so much anger and almost made me want to give up my natural journey, but reading many articles motivated me to keep going. That’s all a part of being natural. Experimenting makes the journey so much more fun and you actually learn what your hair needs.

After 3 months of shampooing wrong and switching up products, I finally worked out that shampooing every 5-7 days was best for my hair. My hair has been shiny with no scalp irritation ever since. To ensure the product was a right fit for me I did a little experiment. I shampooed but didn’t follow-up with conditioner, oils etc. I just did a twist out after my wash and my hair was just fine! I did this for 2 weeks only. Overall Tresemme’s shampoo does a great job of cleansing and it’s just as good as other expensive shampoos.

Ending Note:
Now just because it works wonders for my hair, doesn’t mean it’ll do the same for yours. But, try it out! It might help you tremendously like it has for me. I would not suggest this to you if you have major scalp problems. This product does contain fragrance and may cause scalp irritation. If you still want to try it maybe add tea tree oil and peppermint to help with itchy scalp and dandruff. Also it does work great with color treated hair (I have purple hair)!
