We had to share Donedo‘s high ponytail braid on natural hair tutorial so all the ladies out there currently transitioning can have a quick and easy style to turn to when in despair! Note that this hairstyle is great for all hair textures. I’ve been rocking an kinky textured extension for the last 4 days while on vacation in Cancun, Mexican. I’m not trying to do twist out every night so it was very handy ;)
Things to remember:
If you have multiple hair colors pick extensions that most closely match the hair color at the base of your bun. That way the extension will look like a continuation of your actual hair.
The texture of the extension also looks more authentic if you pick something closer to your own – especially if you plan to wear the style during the day where natural daylight is less forgiving.
Lastly, you can add accessories to give this style a different look. Flowers for Spring, sequins for bling and maybe a scarf for daytime chic!
