SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN BUT FLAKY

As soon as I opened this product I just knew I would love it. TGIN’s Twist and Define Cream smells like a little slice of heaven and when I used the product the smell stayed with me all day. A major plus.

Where this product fell short is the little, white flecks of residue the cream left in my hair. I used the product to set two-strand twists. The next morning when I undid my dry twists white flecks that looked like dandruff were all over 3 of the twists at the front of my hair. I tried to remove them but they just spread like wild fire. This wasn’t a good look. Inevitably I had to knock off a couple of points of my Kinky Hair review.

That said the product did a great job of defining my twists and they felt super moisturized. I’m willing to give the product a few more test runs as only a small portion of my head was affected by the flakes. It may be that my hair didn’t absorb the product when I applied it. Sometimes it’s important to run your fingers through your hair several times to encourage the hair to absorb it rather than sit on top of your strands.

Since the consistency is pretty light I would recommend it to all hair types but Kinky and Coily naturals may find it to be the most beneficial. Give it a try!
