So as you can imagine I get to sample a lot of products… I mean A LOT! But I’m only compelled to write reviews on the ones that really impressed me or the ones I think others should avoid. Well Sprouted Curlies is a new line you should definitely keep an eye on! Sprouted Curlies is the first cowash premium product line for highly textured curly hair. And the bonus? It’s an all vegan line. I’m reviewing the Sprouted Curlies Soften Up Moisture Rich Cowash Conditioner.
Let’s start with important stuff. The smell! It’s absolutely fantastic but not overwhelming – like a natural perfume. It doesn’t stay in the hair after you rinse the cowash out though which is a shame. I wouldn’t have minded smelling the product in my hair all day.
The consistancy is silky but not too thick so it slides through my hair easily and with my predominantly tight kinks and coils that was a welcome attribute. I tend to be heavy handed but in just one wash I used about 1/5 of the 4.5 oz sample bottle I was sent… not bad, not bad at all.
I use cowashes every other wash (or once a month) so I think I’ll definitely put this in the rotation. I like to switch between cowashes and shampoos because my scalp likes a good clean but this product definitely left my hair clean and ready for styling. I would definitely recommend!
