During my time as a natural, I’ve struggled to find a list of products that I can easily refer to as holy grail – leave in conditioners especially. Enter Shea Moisture, Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave In Conditioner.
On my excursion to try out all of Shea Moisture’s hair care line on my kinky tresses, I came across this leave-in conditioner. The website describes it as “a reparative leave-in conditioner that softens and detangles hair. Nourishes, moisturizes and supports elasticity so hair resists breakage when detangling. Conditioners provide a protective layer that improves the appearance of split ends. Peppermint oil stimulates the scalp for an invigorating experience.”

MY EXPERIENCE
There’s something about Shea Moisture’s product descriptions that never fail. I’m yet to have a less than stellar experience based on their description of products. Here are some highlights:
• My hair felt moisturized and conditioned for a long time
• I can’t fully attest my healthy hair growth solely on this, but the growth is definitely noticeable.
• I can use it on both on wet, damp or dry hair
• Upon application, on my dry hair, I immediately felt the coarseness in my hair melt away, making it easier to finger detangle
• The moisture in my hair lasted over 48 hours
Overall, I really enjoyed the way this felt on my hair. The curl definition that appeared when I used this for a twist out was marvelous and I would definitely recommend this for any Kinky textures. My only criticism is that I wish this came with a pump because I really dislike dipping my hands into products when i’m n the process of washing or styling my hair.
