I came across this company while browsing IG one day. The company is called Naturalicious, and they specialize in natural products for natural hair! The products looked pretty good, and the CEO of the company is from my home town Cleveland *claps to myself*. I’m a sucker for a new product, so I knew I had to get my hands on something. Each product is color coded for Kinky/Coily hair (purple label) or Curly/Wavy hair (orange label).
The one product that caught my eye was the Moroccan Rhassoul Clay Treatment. I usually use a clay treatment once a month to clarify my hair, that consists of Aztec Indian Healing Clay, ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar), and Aloe Vera Juice. I usually have to mix this in a container, step out of the shower and apply this to wet hair. This can get messy and time consuming, so once I found out about this product I was down to try! I was very curious to see if this product by Naturalicious would do as good of a job as my older clay mix.
The Clay Treatment by Naturalicious claims to cleanse, condition, detangle, deep condition and also serve as a leave in conditioner. Here are the ingredients:

I hadn’t washed my hair in at least 2 weeks. It’s been in a mini protective style of crown braids. I parted my hair in 4 sections, and made sure to saturate each section thoroughly with water. I massaged this product into my scalp, making sure to scrub my scalp good to get rid of any buildup. I also made sure to saturate my hair from root to tip coating my strands.
My curls instantly POPPED. The clay treatment felt good going on and good rinsing off. It was easy to detangle my hair while the clay treatment was in. Once I rinsed it out my hair felt clean, but not stripped!
I followed up with my usual deep conditioner, Aussie Moist 3-minute miracle. I ALWAYS follow up with a deep conditioner after clarifying, to give my hair the much neded moisture it needed after removing buildup and dirt.
THE VERDICT: This product definitely gets a 8/10 from me. It gets this score because it cleaned by hair without making it feel stripped. It left my hair shiny, bouncy and brought my Coils / Kinks back to life! The only reason it doesn’t get a 10/10 is because of the type of container it’s in. In the shower, it’s easier for me to have a cleanser that is in a pump container or jar, which provides easier access. I would definitely recommend this product to any natural looking for an alternative to clarifying shampoos. This has great ingredients and is very affordable! For a 12 oz bottle, it costs $19.99.
