I was sent some delicious curly products by the lovely company AntidoteStreet.com. Are you ready curlies? I have actually put down my holy grail leave in conditioner and replaced it with the little gem they sent me… yes, yes times are changing.
I was sent the Honey Nut Conditioner and my favourite the Olive You Deep Conditioner. Both products are free of the typical nasties our curly hair can really do without such as Parabens, Petroleum, Mineral Oils and artificial colours.
Lets start in hair care order. I’ll keep it raw, honest, short and sweet for you all.
The Honey Nut Conditioner has a very soothing nutty smell and is a silky white color. I have used this every time I have washed my hair since receiving it. I’m not very keen on using it on its own as it hasn’t got a lot of slip and is very runny.
If you do use this make sure you finger detangle before wetting your hair with an oil, I always finger detangle with coconut oil before wetting my hair to avoid tugging and breakage. The Honey Nut conditioner is perfect for my hair type afterwards as it wont make it too oily once it’s dry.
Leave in for 10 mins and your hair will feel quite soft with no squeaky clean feeling like most runny conditioners can give.
Now on to my favorite… Honey Nut Conditioner and my favourite the Olive You Deep Conditioner.
When you unscrew the lid it has a mild fruit/floral tang to it. It has a very creamy texture just like the Shea Moisture Deep Conditioners do but the best bit? It doesn’t have quite so much oil and grease like most Deep Conditioners.
I have used it as directed, “a treatment to wash out after 30 mins” and although this product is meant as a deep conditioner, I now use it as a leave in conditioner and it is IDEAL for my wavy curls.
It defines my curls beautifully and makes them so springy. I’ve never received as many compliments on my hair as I have using the Olive You Deep Conditioner.
Your curls will last for day 2 and 3 hair and a little goes a long way with this product. I strongly recommend the curly gang go and try these products out, especially the latter.
