I was given the opportunity to try natural hair products for MopTop! I’m no product junkie by any means, but it’s always awesome to try new stuff. I was provided with their Clarifying Rescue Treatment and their Curly Hair Custard.
Let me say first off that these products smell AMAZING. The smell is not too strong, but it’s refreshing when you’re washing your hair in the shower. You can smell hints of aloe, rosemary, and chamomile! These scents are very relaxing to me.
So let’s start off with the Clarifying Rescue Treatment. Before and after I get a protective style, I like to do a clarifying routine. This treatment simplified my process and got the job done. My hair and scalp felt super clean after I used this. I’d give it a 9! I then followed up with their Gentle Shampoo. I will say that while I do love the shampoo, it did not aide in my detangling process.
Now the Curly Hair Custard… sigh. This one did not do it for me. I tried to do a twist-out one day with this stuff and it let me down. My hair did not take well to this at all. I ended up bunning my hair up so I could look presentable to the world that day. The consistency for me was too thick and sticky. It was my only disappointment. *Sheds tear* I’d give it a 5 out of 10. Other than that, I loved the smell of the products and how my hair looked shiner!
I would recommend these products to naturals or anyone to try! Recently, I went to a Whole Foods near me (I reside in Houston, TX) and I noticed that their products were on the shelves! Since I buy different products from Whole Foods in the name of beauty, I was definitely excited to see them in my local store. If it’s in Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s it’s worth a shot to me when it comes to my hair!
This company I found is in Dallas, TX, so their practically my neighbor which I thought was so cool!
