As many of you know, Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding has been around for quite some time. In fact it was the very first natural hair product that I purchased and tried at the beginning of my journey. Being a new natural at the time, I thought it was the right product because of how the product was marketed to be “The Best Darn Curl Crèmes Period”. I had to try it out because I wanted my curls to be the most defined without the shrinkage, which is a hard for kinky or coily “type 4” hair.
The purple and flagrant pudding is just as it is described on the label. It has a thick consistency, which is great for styles that require more hold. When used on slightly damp hair it slides right on down the hair shaft for easy detangling with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers. If you are going to uses on dry hair I suggest that your hair be in a detangled state so that your style is easier to take down. After my hair was set overnight the take down process was a breeze.
After my style was taken down there was little to no frizz! My curls were so defined and lasted throughout the day. To preserve this style I re-twisted at night and slept with a bonnet on. Depending on the amount you used the night prior will determine if you need to add any more product for the next day.
There are several sizes available to choose from. You can purchase the 1oz., 2 oz., 8oz., or 16oz. This styler can be found in most stores where natural hair products are sold. The Curly Pudding also comes unscented for those who are not that found of the smell. Overall I enjoyed revisiting this product and would recommend it to anyone who is starting out on their natural hair journey.

Our world famous Curly Pudding is a “smooth operator” that transforms shrunken kinks to super shiny stretched out curls. Instructions for use: Apply a palm full of Curly pudding to damp freshly shampooed and conditioned hair. Rake through large sections and air dry. For maximum elongation comb a nickel sized dollop thru small sections and air dry. Firmest Hold.
