Dark and Lovely has added new products to their Au Naturale product line, the Moisture L.O.C. system. The products, based on the L.O.C. method, are used to help naturally curly hair retain moisture. This particular line has 5 products, 3 of which make up the L.O.C. method. If you are not familiar with the L.O.C. method check out this great article (link to Davina Looker’s LOC Method article).
Now, that you are familiarized with the L.O.C. method, let’s get started with the review! I had the opportunity to try the third and final product used in the L.O.C. method, the Lock It In Sealing Cream and I absolutely LOVE it!

HOW TO USE
Since this is the last step in the L.O.C. method, you will use this product after you have applied your leave in conditioner and oil. It is used last because it will seal in the leave in conditioner and oil to help keep hair moisturized longer. This product can either be raked or smoothed on. Once applied, style as usual.
PRODUCT QUALITY
This product smells absolutely amazing, it has a light, sweet floral scent. It has a satin, conditioner like feel and goes on hair easy and absorbs fairly well. A little of this product goes a long way, and thankfully, at 8.5 Fl. OZ you will get your money’s worth.
FINAL THOUGHTS
When using this product, I didn’t use any curling creams or gels to aid in my curl definition and with that being said, my twist had a soft hold and great definition. I did notice that if you use too much product, you hair may be flaky once completely dried, but the flakes should go away as you fluff your hair out.
I really like the moisture that this product gives my hair and how soft it makes it! My hair felt quenched and moisturized for a while, almost a week and I didn’t have to apply any other oil or moisture.
I give this product a 9.5/10. Not quite a 10 because I would love if it was packaged in a bottle with a pump.
If you’re looking for a moisturizing product that won’t dry the hair and has a wonderful scent, then this product is for you! Did I mention that I absolutely love it!
WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BOTTLE
Finally, dry curls are a thing of the past with the final step in our Moisture L.O.C regimen. Lock It In Sealing Cream is inspired by the “C” in the notable LOC method. This 3rd layer instantly seals in the Super Quench Leave-In Spray and Soak It Up Oil Cocktail for softer, more moisturized curls.
