Can Dry Out Curls

Here I review the brand Curls and their Crème Brule Whipped Curl Cream. Some of you know about the project “USE IT UP” series I have going on, on my YouTube channel. My project is going pretty well and I feel as if I’m learning about my natural hair all over again.

I recently attended an event in Dallas called the Corkscrew Curl and Curls was one of the sponsors. In our deluxe swag bags Curls gave us their Crème Brule Whipped Curl Cream and their Lavish Curls Moisturizer and I chose to use the Curls Crème Brule Whipped Curl Cream for my wash & go. First, let me just say its very important to read the directions of how to correctly apply a product so you get the best results.

That’s another tip I’ve learned on my video series on using up all of my hair products. As a natural, I used to just grab a product and just apply it without reading how to apply it and how it is supposed to work. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to be intentional when purchasing products for my natural hair.

When I decided to use this product, I did a wash & go as normal and the Curls Crème Brule Whipped Curl Cream smelled so amazing!! I applied the product in sections and my curls were very defined and they clumped together well. My hair looked great, until the next day. At night I put my hair in a low loose ponytail to stretch my hair and when I took it down the next day my hair was extremely dry.

I applied another Curls product to moisturize along with the Curls Crème Brule Whipped Curl Cream and my hair was moisturized again and defined. But as the day went on my hair soaked up the product so much that my hair was dry and brittle by the end of the day. I used this product for a full week and each day I had the exact same results. I forgot to mention I did spritz with water to hydrate but still was left dry at the end of the day.

I was very disappointed in my results of this product. I have seen it floating around a lot on social media and figured it would be a great product but my hair did not agree. Going over the ingredients I noticed that there is Cetyl Alcohol and Citric Acid in this product, which in result made my hair dry. Not saying that these two ingredients in a product are bad but for me personally it was not compatible with my hair.

All in all, Curls Crème Brule Whipped Curl Cream smells incredible but this product was not a good fit for me. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Curls Crème Brule Whipped Curl Cream a 4. Comment down below if you have tried this product and let me know how it worked for you. I hope that this was thorough and helpful to you. What did not work for me does not mean it won’t work for you?

WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BOTTLE

Curls cream brule is used to curl or sculpt wavy, curly and frizzy hair. You are probably not into experimentation but this is a product worth trying. It will be one of the smartest decisions you’ve made when choosing hair care products. As it is made of organic ingredients, your hair is going to give out a natural scent unlike some of the other brands. It refreshes and re-hydrates your hair from the root to the tip, leaving you supremely confident with yourself.

Thanks so much for this review! I was wondering if it was just me or the product, but I had the exact same results with their blueberry bliss leave in.
