Best Products for Straightening Curly Hair

One question I’m often asked is, “What do you put in your hair?” Two years ago, my answer would have been “water, oil and moisturizer”. My hair maintenance was low. One day I went on YouTube and discovered a world of products available for curly hair. Before I knew it I became a “product junkie.” You name it, I tried it.

Since I straighten my hair quite a bit, it’s important for me to have products that protect my curls. Read ahead for some of my product-junkie-approved pics for hair straightening.

Buying hair products can be a very expensive habit, with some products costing over $30. One day I was browsing my local beauty supply store and a new product caught my eye— L’Oreal EverCurl Hydracharge Leave-in Cream. It was under $10.00, so I figured if it didn’t work out, it wouldn’t be a total loss. To my surprise it worked better than some of the expensive products I’ve used!

I’ve colored my hair four times within a short period and it soon became dry and dull. I found this to be a great to add moisture back into my curls. This product not only left my hair feeling light, shiny, and silky, but it also didn’t interfere with my hair color.  It controlled my frizz and made my hair a lot more manageable overall.

I was in the market for good nourishing shampoo, conditioner, and oil when my hair stylist recommended a product called “It’s a 10”. After using it, my hair felt soft and well-moisturized. My frizzy hair was controlled for up to a week. I immediately bought the shampoo/conditioner and leave-in products. They were found at my local drug store for $20-25 each. A bit on the pricey side but I was happy to have found this line.

It’s been 2 months since I started using this new regimen and and I’ve definitely noticed a change. These products have become some of my absolute favorites, especially when it comes to straightening.
