The Best 3 Deep Conditioners for Fine Hair

best deep conditioner for fine hair

Having fine but dense hair is a bit of a peculiarity; although you have a lot of strands on your head, when you take a second look, you’ll see that the strands themselves are very small in width. This is something that I’d never heard of before until about a year ago. Why does this matter? Because you want to know what types products have the right amount of “weight” that your hair can support. You don’t want something that will weigh down your strands.

It’s no secret that I’m a big Shea Moisture fan! I’ve been a supporter for years now and I enjoy using their products. Here’s my list of the three deep conditioners made by Shea Moisture that keep me and my hair happy!

1

Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque

This is the latest one that I’ve bought from Shea Moisture. It doesn’t have a ton of slip, but it still does a great job of helping me detangle my hair in the shower. Although this masque has a “whipped” texture, it’s the heaviest of the three. Even with a thicker texture, I don’t feel that it weighs down my dense hair.

I usually use this with heat from my hooded bonnet, but lately I’ve just been applying it in the shower with warm water and letting it sit for a few minutes. #lazynatural

This masque provides me with an insane amount of moisture (no matter how I use it), and since I’ve been using it on a weekly basis, my hair isn’t quite so dry when wash day comes around!

2

Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Masque

This is definitely Shea Moisture’s best smelling masque, in my opinion! I fell in love with this last summer. As it’s name suggests, this is a light and fluffy masque. I use this during the summer when North Carolina is at it’s hottest. Spending every weekend at outdoor festivals is no longer an issue for my hair because this masque protects my strands from sun and heat. Humidity blocking imbe oil also gives me a little hair insurance against frizz when we hit the rainy season!

This masque is probably the easiest one for me to use. I just apply it in the shower and then rinse off a few minutes later. My tangles melt away, and I’m left with (quite possibly) the softest hair I’ve ever had!

3

Jamaican Black Castor Oil Treatment Masque

The entire JBCO line from Shea Moisture has been a godsend to my hair, but the masque has been the most beneficial. I get my best results when I add heat from my dryer. Previously dry and crispy curls pop back to life with shine within a matter of minutes. The main performer in this masque is castor oil. Castor oil in general has recently become a fave of mine, but I HAVE  dilute it, or I can get tons of buildup on my fine strands. With this masque there’s no buildup—just stronger hair and less breakage. I use this one during spring/fall when the weather is pretty moderate and I don’t need extraordinary measures to repair my hair.

The best I have ever used is the GKhair deep conditioner hair mask. A complete damage reconstructor leaving each hair strand strong and healthy that protects against chemical services, heat styling and other environmental effects. Love it. :) <3
